The Alcázar, dating back to the time of Moorish Spain, not only houses the Camera Obscura, but also a mosque, pharmacy, and arab baths. For horse lovers there is an opportunity to learn more about the famed Andalusian breed at the Yeguada de la Cartuja stud farm on the outskirts of the city. Jerez de la Frontera Cathedral is an interesting example of the blend of Moorish and later Christian influences, and the interior has some impressive stone carving.
Drive Around Jerez
