Drive Around Vilamoura

Another reason for Vilamoura's popularity with tourist families is that it's so easy to get in and out of by car. The closest airport is one of Portugal's biggest and best-served - Faro, and it's only a 10-minute drive away. You'll find plenty of car hire options for Vilamoura at Faro airport, and from there it's an easy drive along the 125 to Vilamoura. If you're keen to explore further afield, the 125 also runs further east along the coast to Faro, as well as west past Quareira and Albufeira, on opts way to Lagos.
